Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries has delivered the world's first LNG dual-fuelled shuttle tanker to Norway’s Teekay Offshore, it said last week.

Qatar has rejected India's request for a lower LNG price, the energy minister Saad Sherida al-Kaabi told reporters.

Italian Eni has signed a new long-term contract with Nigeria LNG, whereby it will take 1.5mn metric tons/yr from the plant which it co-owns with 10.4%. Eni and the UAE's Sharjah National Oil Corporation (Snoc) have struck gas and condensate with an onshore well in Sharjah's Area B, the operator Snoc said. 

Germany risks a shortage in capacity over the coming few years as the major legislated reductions in coal, lignite and nuclear capacity take effect.

French LNG imports surged to a 10-year high in 2019, up 87% yr/yr, transmission system operator GRTgaz said on January 24.

Cheniere Energy said it had produced and shipped its 1,000th cargo of LNG on January 26th, the fastest any global producer had reached that mark. The 1,000 cargoes were produced at both of Cheniere's US terminals, Sabine Pass in Louisiana and Corpus Christi in Texas.
