Oslo-based Rystad Energy has slashed its forecast for Chinese LNG demand growth this year to 4.7%, from 10-13% previously, because of the impact the coronavirus has had on economic activity in China.

French Total said it is expanding its partnership with India’s Adani group to the renewable energy business. Last year Total picked up a stake in city gas distribution company, Adani Gas.

Uniper’s LNG filling-station subsidiary Liqvis is planning to merge with the much larger Echo Tankstellen to expand the LNG filling station network in Germany, the German utility said.

The board of directors at French energy firm Engie decided on February 6 not to extend the tenure of CEO Isabelle Kocher, due to end in May, the company said in a statement.

Johannesburg and Sydney-listed Renergen has agreed to supply LNG to South Africa’s Bulk Hauliers International Transport (BHIT), it said in a statement without disclosing the value of the deal.

 

US natural gas spot prices fell across the US at most locations in the week January 29-February 5, the Energy Information Administration said February 6. 17 LNG vessels (eight from Sabine Pass, three each from Corpus Christi and Freeport, two from Cameron, and one from Cove Point) departed the US during this period. 

Toronto-based Frontera Energy has made a light oil and gas discovery in the Lower Magdalena Valley of Colombia, it said in a statement on February 6.
