Trend: Aliyev says no losers in Southern Gas Corridor's launch
The Southern Gas Corridor project is very beneficial for the partner countries, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in Baku Sept. 20, at a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the ‘Contract of the Century’ and laying the foundation of the Southern Gas Corridor.
“There will be no losers following the implementation of this project. Each side will have benefits,” the president said.
He said the transit countries, which are also the consumer countries, will achieve the diversification of gas sources.
The Azerbaijani president went on to add that the Southern Gas Corridor will ensure the energy security of Europe.
