NRCU: Shale gas production at Yuzovsky section not to affect quality of drinking water

Signing of the agreement on shale gas production at Yuzovsky section will not affect the quality of drinking water in wells of some localities in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. This is what Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Oleg Proskuryakov assures of.

According to him, so far only an agreement between a foreign investor and our state has been concluded which sets the conditions for further cooperation. The Minister also said that the conditions of shale gas production must be approved by the city Councils in Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions . According to him, the foreign investor has submitted a draft of the agreement to the State Service of Geology and mineral resources of Ukraine, which, in its turn, sent it to other interested central power bodies.  MORE
