Zawya: Salehi: Ignoring Irans significant role in world energy security, impossible

Vice President and Head of Irans Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi said on Wednesday that it is impossible to ignore Irans significant role in regional and global equations and the world energy supply security.

Salehi made the remarks in his statement to the tenth international energy conference. Salehi said that the confab is of prime importance for Iran which plays significant role in regional and global developments.

He made clear that any negligence to this effect will eliminate Iranian share in energy supply security. After collapse of former Soviet Union, the US sought to bolster the pillars of unipolar system in the world through expansion of military power and controlling global media, he said.
