Poland AM: Polish firms warned against international shale gas partnerships

Poland's Treasury encouraged state-owned companies PGNiG, PKN Orlen and Grupa Lotos to actively pursue shale gas prospection in a December letter. The companies responded enthusiastically, increasing prospection efforts and signing letters of intent.

According to unofficial information obtained by Puls Biznesu, the Polish Treasury may have sent the signal that at this stage, local partnerships are ok, but international ones are less so.   MORE
