Morocco World News: Morocco to Replace Algerian Gas with Russian Gas

In a move aimed at reducing Morocco’s dependence on Algerian gas deliveries, Russian Energy Company Gazprom has promised to support the kingdom in its Liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, reports say.

According to daily newspaper Asabah, the state-owned company expressed readiness to accompany the implementation of the LNG in the kingdom.

Morocco announced in December plans to spend $4.6 billion in order to intensify the search for natural gas.
