Star Africa: Mauritanian Leader Dispels Any Dispute with Senegal Over Gas Discoveries

Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz has stressed that the discovery of natural gas in an area located between Mauritania and Senegal will not cause any problems between the two neighboring countries.

If the gas “is in a shared area between Senegal and Mauritania, there will be no problems since there are international solutions to such kind of situations known in advance,” Ould Abdel Aziz told a press conference late on Tuesday in Nouakchott.
