Lithuania Tribune: Lithuania has chosen LNG supplier – PM

A supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Lithuania’s new LNG terminal in Klaipėda has already been chosen and a few formalities remain to be cleared before the state-controlled gas trade company Litgas can sign a contract, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius said on Tuesday.

“A final decision on the LNG supplier will be made in the near future. We have to pass certain government resolutions next week, but in fact, several suppliers were presented and it was said which of the suppliers was the most favorable for Litgas. I can say with confidence that this position was approved,” Butkevičius told LRT Radio.

“Certain legal documents remain to be finalized before they can start talking with one concrete supplier and sign a contract,” the prime minister said.
