Reuters: EU-bound Russian gas flows from Ukraine normal - Slovak operator

Russian natural gas flows to the European Union through Slovakia are running normally from Ukraine, Slovak pipeline operator Eustream said on Tuesday.

Russia cut off gas to Ukraine on Monday in a dispute over unpaid bills that could disrupt supplies to the rest of Europe. Moscow has insisted that Ukraine must let Russian gas flow across the country through international pipelines to Russia's clients in the EU.

"Eustream has not registered at the compressor station of Velke Kapusany any reduction in pressure or volume of gas headed to the European Union from the east," it said on its website.
