Vintage's Vali-3 well reaches total depth

Australian explorer Vintage Energy on June 28 said its Vali-3 well in Queensland’s Cooper basin had reached the total depth at 3,186 m.

“In addition to the gas shows observed previously in the Nappamerri and Toolachee formations, shows were also observed in the Epsilon and Patchawarra formations and the Tirrawarra Sandstone,” it said. “Over the coming days, wireline logs will be completed to evaluate the hydrocarbon shows observed while drilling.”

Vintage, Metgasco and Bridgeport are partners in the Vali project that is located in Queensland's Cooper basin. Vali was discovered in January 2020, when a well encountered a gas pay in Nappamerri, Toolachee and Patchawarra formations.
