Ukraine To Slash Industry Gas Prices Next Month

Ukrainian state gas supplier Naftogaz intends to slash gas prices for industrial users by up to 7.5% in August, the company said in a July 22 statement.

Industrial customers that have prepaid for supplies will pay hryvnias 5,568 ($216)/'000 m3 for their gas next month, which is 7.5% less than the July tariff of hryvnias 6,020. Those that have not made prepayments will pay hryvnias 6,245, down 7.2% month on month.

The price cut follows a 12.7-13.5% reduction in gas costs for industrial consumers in July. Prices for residential users have also been falling over the past several months.
