Thai B.Grimm Secures Land for Gas, Solar Power Project

Bangkok-listed private firm B.Grimm Power has signed a lease contract with the government for state land in Thailand's Rayong province on which it will build a 95-MW hybrid natural gas and solar power facility, the company said on June 26 in a statement.

The plant will supply power and produce chilled water for the U-Tapao International Airport and Eastern Airport City Development Project, the company said.

Last month, B.Grimm LNG, a unit of B.Grimm Power, secured a licence to import LNG into Thailand. The country’s Energy Regulatory Commission has allowed the company to import LNG to the amount of 650,000 metric tons/year. B.Grimm LNG will supply the LNG to fuel B.Grimm Power's power plants.
