Saipem Awarded Three Subsea Contracts

Italian engineering contractor Saipem announced October 15 $400mn worth of offshore contracts in three countries: Azerbaijan, the UK North Sea and the Republic of Congo.

In Azerbaijan, Total awarded Saipem, in partnership with Azeri firm Star Gulf, the contract to build a 34km, 12-inch production flowline and terminal for the Absheron gas field development in the Caspian Sea.

In the UK, Saipem was awarded a contract to build a gas pipe to link the Premier-operated Tolmount Main gas field to the existing Humber Gathering System, as announced in August by Premier.

Offshore Congo-Brazzaville, Saipem has been awarded a maintenance and operations contract by Eni on all its offshore sites over a 36-month period, using Saipem’s Boscongo yard at Pointe Noire.
