Pavilion ships 1st small scale LNG cargo to China

Singapore's Pavilion Energy has shipped its first termed small-scale LNG cargo bound for China under the 2021 deal signed with Zhejiang Hangjiaxin Clean Energy Co, it said on April 5 in a LinkedIn post. Under the agreement, up to 0.5mn metric tons/year of LNG will be delivered to Hangjiaxin from 2023.

The LNG will be delivered to the Jiaxing LNG terminal in Zhejiang. The 1mn mt/yr terminal is operated by Hangjiaxin, a joint venture between city gas distributors Jiaxing Gas and Hangzhou Gas.

“This delivery further reinforces Pavilion Energy's commitment to enhance Singapore's position as a regional LNG hub,” the company said.
