Norwegian seismic firm set for Caspian work

Norway’s seismic expert Magseis Fairfield has signed a letter of intent (LoI) to lease out a Z700 node crew for six months of the work in the Caspian Sea.

The agreement with an unidentified customer covers nodes, auxiliary equipment and service personnel, Magseis said in an Oslo stock exchange filing.

“Magseis Fairfield is proud to be the preferred technology provider for yet another ocean bottom seismic (OBS) survey,” CEO Per Christian Grytnes said. “This demonstrates the company’s strong position in the global OBS market and our flexible business model with sales, leases and node operations.”
