Norwegian Gas Output Dips in April

Norwegian sales gas output was 10.1bn m³ in April 2018, the offshore regulator Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) said May 16.

That was less than the 10.89bn m³ sales gas output in March 2018, and less than the year-before April 2017 figure of 10.6bn m3.

NPD added however that the latest April gas figure was 1% higher than it had forecast. In contrast Norwegian oil production was below NPD’s forecast for April 2018 due to unplanned outages.

Nearly all Norwegian gas production is exported to the European Union by pipeline, with some being liquefied for global markets.
