Norwegian Output Dips in March

Norwegian sales gas output of 10.89bn m³ in March was down on March 2017, when it produced 11.06bn m³; and also lower than the forecast 11.005bn m³.

But it was up on February's 10.06bn m³, the offshore regulator Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) said April 19.

First quarter output of 32.24bn m³ was ahead of the forecast 32.09bn, but down from 32.66bn m³ in the same period of last year which turned out to be a record for gas production.

Nearly all Norwegian gas production is exported to the European Union by pipeline, with some being liquefied for global markets.
