Kerogen Boss Wins O&G Council's Lifetime Award

The Oil & Gas Council has nominated Kerogen Capital CEO and co-founder Ivor Orchard as winner of its 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award of Excellence Winner, and Patron of the Awards of Excellence, it said July 4.

The Council Awards programme "represents a global benchmark of excellence for those working in its industry which honours and recognises 12 individuals and companies who have been at the heart of frontier plays and some of the world's largest discoveries. These executives, and their businesses, have grown economies, created employment and continue to change the face of the oil and gas industry," it said.

Kerogen Capital's investments include AJ Lucas, itself the biggest shareholder in UK shale explorer Cuadrilla and also Igas; Energean Israel in the eastern Mediterranean; three smaller-scale LNG projects, two in Africa and one in Papua New Guinea; and North Sea-focused Zennor Petroleum. Kerogen has over $2bn invested in upstream projects.
