Jera Global Markets Sells LNG to Hokkaido Electric

Jera Global Markets (JERAGM) has concluded a transaction to sell its first LNG cargo to Hokkaido Electric Power in June this year, it said May 9.

“Through this transaction, JERAGM provided Hokkaido Electric Power with the flexibility to change the delivered volumes of LNG at short notice from a full cargo to a partial cargo, together with other bespoke terms and conditions that support the balancing of Hokkaido Electric Power’s LNG consumption,” a statement from Jera reads.

The company purchased an LNG cargo from Woodside Energy Trading Singapore last month. The cargo will be sourced from the Wheatstone LNG project in Western Australia and will be delivered to one of Jera’s LNG terminals in Japan during May, the company said last month.
