Iran: Gas Condensate Output Up 35% in March-April

TEHRAN, May 7 (Shana) – Iranian refineries’ gas condensate output rose by 35 percent in the Iranian month of Farvardin (March 20-April 19).

Talking to Shana on the sidelines of the 21st Tehran Oil Show, Deputy Head of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) for Operation Affairs, Abdolhossein Samari, said Iranian gas refineries refined 16 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the month, showing more than six percent increase compared to the figure in the corresponding month the previous year.

Samari said in the period under study, 259 billion cubic meters of gas were obtained from phase 12 and close to 286 million cubic meters of gas from phases 17 and 18 of South Pars gas field.

He said Bidboland gas refining company had in a month this year received more than 223 million cubic meters of gas, showing more than 20 percent increase compared to that in the same period the previous year.

He went on to say that in Farvardin, Iranian gas refineries produced 227,000 tons of LPG.

The official said that Iranian refineries yielded more than 2.1 million cubic meters of gas condensates in Farvardan last year, a figure indicating growth of 35 percent standing at 2.9 million cubic meters.

He said that also, 89,000 tons of sulfur were producing in the gas refining companies in Farvardin.
