Fuling Shale Gas Sales Top 4bn m³
Sales volume from Chinese state Sinopec’s Fuling shale gas field has exceeded 4bn m3 during the period January 1 to September 11, it said September 13 without providing any year on year comparison. Sales volume from the field for whole of 2017 was 5.7bn m³.
The company did not give any information about cumulative production either but said that, the gas average production in August was 16.4mn m³/d. Fuling shale gas field produced 2.96bn m³ of shale gas during the six months that ended June 30, Sinopec said in July.
In 2017, Fuling shale gas field achieved its production target, as its output reached 6bn m³, up 20% year on year.
The first phase of Fuling shale gas field in Chongqing, central southwest China, went into production in 2015. Sinopec has announced it is aiming to produce 10bn m³/yr of shale gas by 2020 from the field.
