TotalEnergies commissions new FSRU in Le Havre

TotalEnergies announced on October 26 the commissioning of its new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) terminal, Cape Ann, in the port of Le Havre, France.

The terminal injected its first megawatt-hours of gas into the grid operated by GRTgaz, using LNG from Norway. Cape Ann has a storage capacity of 142,500 m3. TotalEnergies has contracted 50% of the terminal's capacity to supply it with LNG from its global portfolio. The remaining capacity will be marketed according to rules approved by the regulator.

TotalEnergies said it is the world’s third largest LNG player with a market share of around 12% and a global portfolio of about 50mn tonnes/year thanks to its interests in liquefaction plants in all geographies.
