The Voice of Russia: Russian-European cooperation – pros and cons

In a recent interview to the newspaper Die Welt, Gerhard Schroder, once Germany’s Chancellor and now the head of the board of directors of the gas pipeline project “Nord Stream”, said that the financial crisis in the eurozone can be overcome only if the pan-European political structures are perfected.

Mr. Schroder also believes that Europe should seek closer cooperation with Russia and that Turkey should become a member of the EU.  Others, such as Russian analyst Yuri Bortko, disagree.  HERE
