Sino Targets Production Rise in 2017

Australia-listed, China focused unconventional explorer Sino Gas & Energy Holdings has set 2017 average production target in the range of 18mn-23mn ft3/d, more than triple its 2016 average production; it plans to drill about 30-35 wells this year.

Sino Gas & Energy said that its overall development program planning process has begun on both Sanjiaobei and Linxing (West) production share contracts. Activities will include full field development planning, including drilling and facilities, environmental assessments, economic assessments, and land use permitting. It is targeting submission of the first overall development programme during 2017, with approval late 2017 or early 2018.

Sino Gas holds a 49% interest in Sino Gas & Energy through a strategic partnership with China New Energy Mining. Sino Gas & Energy has been established in Beijing since 2005 and is the operator of the Linxing and Sanjiaobei production sharing contracts, a roughly 3,000 km2 area in China's largest onshore gas producing basin, the Ordos Basin.
