Siemens Wins Canadian CCGT Order

Siemens said October 19 it has received an order to deliver the main components for installation at SaskPower’s planned Chinook Power Station, a 350-MW natural gas-fired power plant near Swift Current, Saskatchewan in Canada.

The customer is the Canadian engineering and construction company Burns & McDonnell. The plant, scheduled for operation in the fourth quarter of 2019, will be able to power about 300,000 homes. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
