Preparations for the 28th “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan

The purpose of OGT is to strengthen regional dialogue on further sustainable development of the energy sector and expand opportunities for attracting foreign direct investment to the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan. Participation and business meetings on the sidelines of the Conference will increase the awareness of potential investors on new investment projects in the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, the next phases of the giant “Galkynysh” field development, construction of the TAPI pipeline,  optimization of oil and gas production at mature fields, the development of offshore blocks in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, renewable energy and environmental aspects in the development of hydrocarbon resources.

OGT is expecting a record number of investors in particular from the UAE, which was reinforced during the investment forum which took place in Dubai at the end of April. As noted by HE Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State of the UAE at the forum:  «UAE seeks to widen its dynamic partnerships with Turkmenistan in the oil, gas, and renewable sectors through major investments by UAE companies such as ADNOC, Dragon Oil, and Masdar, amongst others».

The Conference and exhibition will be attended by a record number of CEOs of leading international energy companies, as well as heads of major international organizations and financial institutions. Being one of the most important energy conferences in the region, OGT will also touch upon the pressing issues of the current state and the future of global energy. This year, OGT is expected to take place ahead of COP28 in Dubai, so the debate around clean energy and the important actions to reverse global warming will gain considerable momentum. In particular, in light of Turkmenistan’s recent adoption of the Roadmap for joining the Global Methane Pledge.

Within the framework of the Conference, meetings with senior management of the oil & gas, banking, chemical, and energy sectors of Turkmenistan will be arranged to further discuss investment opportunities. The Conference will be held in both traditional and online formats. The organizers will provide visa support to all registered delegates.  For more information on participation conditions, please visit the event website: www.ogt-turkmenistan.com or email: info@turkmen-forum.com.
