Petronas PFLNG Satu Loads First Cargo

Malaysian Petronas April 3 said its first floating LNG facility, PFLNG Satu, loaded its first cargo April 1 at the Kanowit gas field, offshore Miri, Sarawak.

The cargo was loaded on to LNG carrier Seri Camellia and was expected to set sail for a south Asian market, the official Malaysian news agency Bernama reported, citing a statement by Petronas.

NGW March 29 had reported that PFLNG Satu, will load its first cargo soon. PFLNG Satu became the world’s first FLNG unit to achieve its 'first gas' milestone November 14 from the Kanowit gas field, offshore Sarawak in Malaysia. The unit started liquefying gas in December. The official told NGW in November that its first cargo was expected to be shipped in 1Q 2017.
