Japanese LNG imports in February down 6%

Japanese LNG imports in February were 6.02mn tonnes, down 5.9% year/year, according to provisional data released by Japan's finance ministry on March 21.

This decline is part of an ongoing trend, with the finance ministry having announced a reduction of 8.1% in Japanese LNG imports for 2023. 

The cost of Japanese LNG imports in February fell to 597.28bn yen ($3.95bn), down 21.1% year/year.
