Japanese LNG imports down 3% in March

Japanese LNG imports in March came in at 5.55mn tonnes, down 3% year/year, according to provisional data released by Japan's finance ministry on April 17.

This decline is part of an ongoing trend, with the finance ministry having announced a reduction of 8.1% in Japanese LNG imports for 2023. 

The cost of Japanese LNG imports in March was 532.6bn yen ($3.45bn), down 9.5% year/year.
