SHANA: Iran Eyes Tripling Gas Export to Armenia in Two Years

TEHRAN, July 12 (Shana) – Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Exports Company (NIGEC) Ali Reza Kameli said talks are under way with neighboring Armenia for raising the volume of Iran's natural gas exports to the country by up to three times within the next two or three years.

According to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Kameli said Iran is currently exporting nearly a million cubic meters of the commodity to Armenia, adding the country is building new facilities for gas delivery to its power plants and is planning to build new power generation facilities what would raise its demand for gas.
