Hull Street Energy buys California gas-fired plant

Hull Street Energy (HSE), a private equity firm, has recently completed the acquisition of Sunrise Power Holdings, a gas-based power plant in California, the company announced on June 22. It did not disclose the financial details.

The acquisition was made from Generation Bridge Acquisition, an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners. The facility, located in Fellows, California, offers 586 MW of capacity to consumers, utilities, and community choice aggregators across the state.

With the addition of Sunrise, HSE's affiliates now own a total of 2.3 GW of gas-fired and dual-fuelled generation capacity throughout the US. This significant portfolio positions HSE as a critical player in the power sector, with a focus on clean and reliable energy generation, it said.
