Four Indonesian Oil, Gas Projects to Come Online in 2017

Four Indonesian oil and gas projects are expected to come on-stream in 2017 with combined output potential of 6,180 b/d of oil and 316mn ft3/d of natural gas, oil and gas regulator SKKMigas told the house commission last week.

Madura BD project offshore East Java is likely to come online in Q1 2017 with oil output of 5,980 b/d and gas output of 100mn ft3/d, Cikarang Tegal Pacing project is expected to come online Q1 2017 as well with gas output of 14mn ft3/d, Jangkrik project off the coast of Makassar Strait is expected to come online in Q3 2017 and is expected to produce 200 b/d of oil and 142mn ft3/d of natural gas and Jangkrik North East project is expected to come online in Q3 2017 and would produce 60mn ft3/d of natural gas, SKKMigas said September 12.

The regulator stated that development work has been hampered by low energy prices. It expects the price of oil to trade in the range of $40/b to $50/b in the medium-term which will continue to impact developmental activities affecting the medium-term production profile.
