Eustream Adds Q1 Slovakia-Ukraine Capacity

Slovak pipeline operator Eustream is making more interruptible capacity available at Budince interconnection point, in order to satisfy market demand, it said December 2. It means an extra 30,000 MWh/day may flow to Ukraine in Q1 2017.

The additional capacity – which is about 1bn m³/yr pro rata – is to be published on the web page of Eustream December 5, and made available for online-booking platform via Eustream customer zone.

All interested parties with a valid framework contract to access the transmission network and with sufficient financial guarantee can book it on a first come, first served basis.

Storage data from industry association Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) said that Ukraine's storage capacity was only 43.66%-full as at December 3, with 154.03 TWh of gas (14.3bn m³) stored – which was down from 181 TWh (16.8bn m³) on the same day in 2015.
