Equinor upstream VP leaves to lead diamond mining giant

Equinor announced on October 10 that its vice president for international exploration and production operations, Al Cook, had stepped down to become the CEO of diamond mining giant De Beers.

Cook, who joined Equinor in 2016, will continue in his current position until no later than April 1, 2023, the company said. CEO Anders Opedal thanked him for "his contribution to focusing and optimising our international oil and gas business."
