Enwell partially resumes production in Ukraine

London-listed Enwell Energy has partially restarted production in Ukraine, flowing at a rate of 1,600 barrels of oil equivalent/day, the company reported on March 15.

Enwell operates three gas and condensate fields and an exploration licence in the Dnipro-Donets basin in northeast Ukraine, achieving average production of 4,730 boe/d in 2021. The company suspended operations on February 24 after Russia began its invasion of Ukraine.

In its latest statement, Enwell said it expected to maintain production at the current level for the immediate future, but warned that operations were likely to be intermittent, based on conditions in the country.

The conflict in Ukraine is now in its 20th day. While Enwell's Mekhediviska-Golotvshinska and Svyrydivske fields are located in the Poltava region, where military operations have been limited, its Vasyschevskoye field is situated near Kharkiv, where fighting has been intense.
