Yamal LNG Passes 30mn mt Milestone

Russia's Yamal LNG export plant has shipped 30mn mt of LNG since its launch in December 2017, the project's operating consortium reported on February 26.

The terminal's 411th export cargo was loaded onto the Nikolay Yevgenov Arc7 ice-class tanker, Yamal LNG said in a statement.

Yamal LNG is operated by Russia's Novatek with a 50.1% stake, while France's Total has a 20% interest, and China's CNPC and Silk Road Fund 20% and 9.9% respectively. The terminal's three trains produced 18.4mn mt of LNG last year, exceeding its 16.5mn mt/yr nameplate capacity by 11%.
