Australia listed WorleyParsons has been awarded a contract by Reliance Industries for project management consultancy (PMC) services for development of the R-Series gas field (D34) in the Krishna Godavari (KG) basin off the East coast of India, it said November 8.

The services will be led and executed by WorleyParsons’ Advisian Houston office.

The first of the three projects will be D34 in the R series, a dry gas development in water-depths of more than 2,000 metres, about 70 km offshore. The R-series fields will be developed as a subsea tieback to the existing control and riser platform off Block KG-D6. In KG-D6 block Reliance owns 60% and is the operator, BP owns 30% and Canadian Niko Resources owns 10%.
