Worley Wins India Contract

Intecsea, a wholly owned subsidiary of Australia-listed Worley, has been awarded a project management consultancy contract by Reliance Industries for the MJ field deepwater gas and condensate project off India’s east coast.

The contract covers the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) phases of developing subsea facilities and offshore processing using a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) facility and existing gas trunk lines, Worley said in an August 19 statement.

MJ is a gas condensate field and is the third field under development as part of the KG D6 integrated development campaign. The project is in 700-1,100 metres water depth, with a well depth of 4,200 metres below mean sea-level in a high-temperature and pressure environment. It will comprise of wells connected to a subsea production template that is tied back to the FPSO. The FPSO will be used to process and separate liquids and gas that are then exported to an onshore terminal through one of the existing 24-inch trunk pipelines. The project is expected to begin production in mid-2022.
