Lela: World Bank Withdraws From Kudu Gas Project

The World Bank on Wednesday announced that it will no longer pursue discussions on taking an equity stake in the much-anticipated Kudu Gas power project. 

The World Bank's private arm - the International Finance Corporation (IFC) - and the Namibian Government were in discussions over the possibility of the IFC taking an equity stake in the venture.
