Woodside JV to Supply LNG to West Oz Miner

Sydney-listed Strandline Resources has appointed Woodside and EDL LNG Fuel to Power as the preferred contractors to supply LNG to its Coburn mineral sands project’s power generation facilities in Western Australia, it said on November 5.

Under the contract, LNG will be trucked from Woodside’s Pluto LNG truck loading facility near Karratha. Coburn’s mine site power infrastructure is based on a solution integrating LNG-fuelled generation with solar and battery storage technology, Strandline said.

The proposed LNG supply contract is over a 10-year term, “with appropriate pricing review and adjustment mechanisms”. Strandline added it has started preparing final contract documentation subject to the satisfaction of Coburn’s lender group and agreement between the parties. It did not provide financial details or any information about the volume contracted.

Strandline appointing Contract Power Australia as a preferred contractor to build, own and operate the power generation facilities for the Coburn project on November 4.
