Wartsila to Equip Korean LNG Bunkering Ship

Finland's Wartsila has won an order for a cargo handling system for a new 18,000-m3 LNG bunkering vessel, it said on March 3.

The ship is being built at the Hyundai Mipo shipyard in Korea, for shipping corporation Korea Line, and will be chartered by Shell.

Wartsila's contract covers engineering, design, procurement and commissioning of the cargo handling system, including cargo tank design. The company will start supplying the equipment at the end of 2020,  ahead of the ship's delivery in early 2022.

The contract includes an option for a second vessel.
