Vitol Offers Lowest Bids in Pak LNG Tender

Vitol has put in the lowest bids for the supply of two LNG cargoes to Pakistan in April, state-run Pakistan LNG said in a document posted on its website on February 4.

For the cargo delivery during April 5-6, Vitol offered the lowest bid with a slope rate of 11.052% of Brent oil futures. For the cargo delivery during April 19-20, it offered a slope rate of 10.893%, Pakistan LNG said. Qatar Petroleum, Posco and PetroChina were the other bidders.

Pakistan LNG is seeking one more LNG cargo for delivery in April. The deadline for the tender seeking a single cargo for delivery during April 9-10 is February 18.

Pakistan has two import terminals – one operated by Pakistan GasPort and one by Elengy. Both are at Port Qasim. The south Asian country recently allowed private entities to market imported gas.
