Vinci Wins Canadian LNG Tank Order

A subsidiary of France’s Vinci Construction announced July 17 that it has secured a contract for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a 225,000 m3 LNG storage tank in Canada.

Vinci Construction Grands Projets said that the order awarded to its joint venture with Vinci-group sibling Entrepose Contracting is worth C$400mn ($306mn). The identity of the customer was not specified.

“The strong co-operation between Entrepose Contracting and Vinci Construction Grands Projets has a unique track record of construction in harsh climates,” Entrepose’s managing director Gael Cailleaux said, according to the statement. “We are proud to bring our proven LNG tank expertise to Canada.”

Vinici Construction has built 14 LNG tanks over the past decade, including at the Yamal LNG terminal in the Russian Arctic and the Wheatstone terminal in Australia.
