Videocon, BPCL Find Gas Offshore Mozambique

Videocon Industries and Indian state owned firm Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd. (BPCL) have discovered a fourth natural gas deposit in an offshore Mozambique block, Press Trust of India has reported.

The new discovery was made in the offshore Area 1 of the Rovuma basin, both companies said in a separate statements, PTI reported.

The Orca-1 discovery well encountered about 190 net feet (58 meters) of natural gas pay in a Paleocene fan system, the companies said. The well was drilled to to a total depth of about 16,391 feet, in water depths of 3,481 feet.
