Victoria Oil & Gas Expands Cameroon Production

UK-listed Cameroonian gas producer Victoria Oil & Gas (VOG) said September 26 it has flow-tested its Logbaba well La-107 and started producing gas from it.

It tested at a maximum flowrate of 54mn ft3/d through a 70/64ths inch choke, but the company said its open flow rate potential would be 146mn ft3/d. VOG CEO Ahmet Dik said the flow test “exceeded our expectations.” It reached a total depth of 3,180 metres

The well is now connected to Logbaba gas processing plant and first gas was flowed to it September 22.

The drilling rig has been moved to La-108 and operations to sidetrack that well have begun, with completion scheduled by the end of this year. It will aim to probe a more than 100 metre thick band of net gas-bearing sands at between 2,107m and 2,760m depth.

VOG this year has expanded its production and sales, which already were up 24% year on year in 2016, but customers have begun negotiating discounts
