Venture Global has signed multiple deals with Chinese customers in the last two years. In November 2021, its signed two 20-year agreements to supply a combined 4mn mt/yr of LNG to Sinopec from its Plaquemines LNG facility. Venture Global in December 2021 executed another 20-year sales and purchase agreement with CNOOC Gas & Power, marking the first LNG supply agreement between a US exporter and China’s largest LNG importer.

Venture Global's CP2 facility in Cameron Parish would have a nameplate liquefaction capacity of 20mn mt/year of LNG from nine small-scale liquefaction blocks in each of two 10mn mt/yr phases. Plaquemines LNG has received all necessary permits from the US department of energy. It will also have an export capacity of 20mn mt/yr.

Venture Global began producing LNG at its first facility, the 10mn mt/yr Calcasieu Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana, in January last year.
