Venture Global pens LNG sales deals with ExxonMobil

US LNG developer Venture Global has agreed two long-term contracts for the annual sale of 2mn metric tons/year of LNG to ExxonMobil from its liquefaction facilities in Louisiana, the company announced on May 10.

ExxonMobil will take 1mn mt/yr of LNG from Venture's Plaquemines LNG plant, a 20mn mt/yr  project due to start up in 2023. A further 1mn mt/yr will come from Venture's CP2 LNG plant, where construction is tentatively scheduled to begin next year.

Venture clinched two other contracts spanning 20 years in April, on the sale of 1mn mt/yr each from Plaquemines LNG and CP2 LNG in April to New Fortress Energy.
