Uzbekistan Reports New Gas Find

Uzbekistan’s national oil and gas group Uzbekneftegaz (UNG) has identified a new gas condensate field in the northwest of the country.

Citing the company’s press service, local state news agency UzDaily.com reported the discovery at the Kushkair block in the Ustyurt region. A 3,550-metre exploration well drilled at the site achieved a commercial flow rate of 200,000 m³/day, UNG said. The well was completed as part of a three-year exploration campaign that has been underway in the Ustyurt province since 2017.
