UAE, Israel Discuss Cooperation in Oil, Gas

The UAE and Israeli energy ministries held their first natural gas and petroleum working group meeting to discuss opportunities for co-operation and collaboration, state-run Emirates News Agency said on December 10.

During the meeting, which was also attended by representatives from Abu Dhabi's state-owned Adnoc, participants discussed ways to develop bilateral relations and possible joint co-operation in energy, petroleum and natural gas.

UAE and Israel signed the historic Abraham Accords in Washington earlier this year, which marked the first normalisation of relations between an Arab country and Israel since an agreement with Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
